COMPETITIVE RULING – Oxygen Esports; Aqui Vamos de Nuevo; FuryOne Esports

SUMMARY

Following investigation, Gears Pro League team Oxygen Esports, and Challenger Teams “Aqui Vamos de Nuevo” and “FuryOne Esports” have been found in breach of Rule 2.1 of the Handbook regarding Cheating and Competitive Integrity, which states: No forms of cheating will be tolerated. This includes software modification, hardware modification, match fixing, hacking, exploiting game glitches, impersonation (including playing under another Player’s account), competing under multiple accounts (ex. Xbox Live, play.gears.gg), collusion, or any other behavior as determined by the Administration or Tournament Organizer. 

In response to these infractions:

  • The involved members of Oxygen Esports (Dazed, Tankks, Aches, and Seitrax) will be prohibited from competing in official Gears Esports competitions through the remainder of Split 2, and the Spring Major.
  • “Lux Clutchz” will be prohibited from competing in official Gears Esports competitions through the remainder of Split 2, and the Spring Major.
  • “MikeTheWoat” will will be removed from his position as coach of Noble Esports on the Play.Gears Pro League platform, and is prohibited from competing in official Gears Esports competitions through the remainder of Split 2, and the Spring Major.
  • The members of “Aqui Vamos de Nuevo” (Chaoz, Sleafer, Cristalize, and Autens) will be prohibited from competing in official Gears Esports competitions through the remainder of Split 2, and the Spring Major.
  • “TQ Addvers” will be prohibited from competing in official Gears Esports competitions through the remainder of Split 2, and the Spring Major.
  • The members of “FuryOne Esports” (Dinastys, Madness, Bhyres, and Saer) will be prohibited from competing in official Gears Esports competitions through the remainder of Split 2, and the Spring Major.
  • Oxygen Esports will forfeit their win bonus earnings from Split 2, Phase 1.

Context – Oxygen Esports

Following the completion of Split 2, Phase 1 of the Gears Pro League, the administration was informed of a number of instances of account recovering taking place by Oxygen Esports during Pro League matches in Week 4 and Week 5. After reviewing the account activity of the players involved, it was confirmed that the following instances of account recovering took place:

  • Oxygen Seitrax was allowing his account to be recovered and played on by Oxygen Aches during Pro League matches
  • Oxygen Aches was allowing his account to be recovered and played on by MikeTheWoat during Pro League matches
  • Oxygen Aches was allowing his account to be recovered and played on by Lux Clutchz during Pro League matches
  • Oxygen Tankks was allowing his account to be recovered and played on by MikeTheWoat during Pro League matches

Context – Aqui Vamos de Nuevo & FuryOne Esports

Following the completion of Split 2, Phase 1 of the Gears Pro League, the administration was also informed of a number of instances of account recovering involving Pro Player “Addvers” from Team Queso and the Challenger Team “Aqui Vamos de Nuevo”. After reviewing the account activity of the players involved, it was confirmed that the following instances of account recovering took place:

  • Autens was allowing his account to be recovered and played on by Addvers during Challenger Tournaments
  • Dinastys was allowing his account to be recovered and played on by Autens during Challenger Tournaments
  • Saeer was allowing his account to be recovered and played on by Autens during Challenger Tournaments
